βΒΆ The soul of the sluggard desireth, and [hath] nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.β
βThat ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and [that] ye may have lack of nothing.β
βΒΆ Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean [men].β
βWhatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do [it] with thy might; for [there is] no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.β
βΒΆ In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips [tendeth] only to penury.β
βΒΆ He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain [persons is] void of understanding.β
