βMake thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.β
βAnd the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature [was] as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.β
βAs the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so [was] the appearance of the brightness round about. This [was] the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw [it], I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.β
βThese [are] the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man [and] perfect in his generations, [and] Noah walked with God.β
βAnd when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.β
βWhithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither [was their] spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature [was] in the wheels.β
βWhen those went, [these] went; and when those stood, [these] stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature [was] in the wheels.β
βThese all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of [them], and embraced [them], and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.β
βΒΆ But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.β
βΒΆ The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.β
βAnd this [is the fashion] which thou shalt make it [of]: The length of the ark [shall be] three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.β
βΒΆ And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.β
βAnd, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein [is] the breath of life, from under heaven; [and] every thing that [is] in the earth shall die.β
βA window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; [with] lower, second, and third [stories] shalt thou make it.β
βAnd the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.β
βΒΆ Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.β
βThou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.β
βAnd of every living thing of all flesh, two of every [sort] shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep [them] alive with thee; they shall be male and female.β
βOf fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every [sort] shall come unto thee, to keep [them] alive.β
βAnd Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.β
βAnd God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.β
βΒΆ And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.β
βBut with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.β
βAnd take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather [it] to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.β
βΒΆ And above the firmament that [was] over their heads [was] the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne [was] the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.β
βAs for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.β
βΒΆ And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness [was] about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.β
βAlso out of the midst thereof [came] the likeness of four living creatures. And this [was] their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.β
βAnd their feet [were] straight feet; and the sole of their feet [was] like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.β
βAnd [they had] the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.β
βAnd I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.β
βAnd every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.β
βTheir wings [were] joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.β
βThus [were] their faces: and their wings [were] stretched upward; two [wings] of every one [were] joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.β
βAnd they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; [and] they turned not when they went.β
βAs for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance [was] like burning coals of fire, [and] like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.β
βAnd the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.β
βΒΆ Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces.β
βThe appearance of the wheels and their work [was] like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work [was] as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.β
βWhen they went, they went upon their four sides: [and] they turned not when they went.β
βAs for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings [were] full of eyes round about them four.β
βAnd under the firmament [were] their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies.β
