“¶ The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified [it] by his angel unto his servant John:”

“For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,”

“Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

“¶ This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.”

“¶ But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.”

“For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.”

“And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?”

“¶ And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation [even] to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.”

“‹Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:›”

“[For the Son of man is] ‹as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.›”

“‹For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these› [are] ‹the beginnings of sorrows.›”

“‹It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.›”

“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, [even] to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”

“‹And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for› [such things] ‹must needs be; but the end› [shall] ‹not› [be] ‹yet.›”

“‹Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.›”

“‹And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.›”

“‹And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.›”

“‹And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.›”

“‹And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.›”

“‹But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.›”
