βΒΆ Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.β
βAnd he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for [the sins of] the whole world.β
βAnd the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.β

βΒΆ And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.β
βLet that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.β
βWhosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [(but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.]β
βIf ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.β
βΒΆ Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.β
βAgain, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.β
βI have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.β

βAnd this is the promise that he hath promised us, [even] eternal life.β
βAnd every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.β
βHereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:β
βBut God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;β
βO Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane [and] vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:β
βFor the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.β
βAnd base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, [yea], and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:β
βThat no flesh should glory in his presence.β
βFor ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, [are called]:β
βBut we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, [even] the hidden [wisdom], which God ordained before the world unto our glory:β

βWhich none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known [it], they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.β
βΒΆ Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:β
βBecause the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.β
βBut of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:β
βWhich some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace [be] with thee. Amen.β
βBut we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;β
βFor after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.β
