βΒΆ Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset [us], and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,β
βI therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:β
βLooking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.β
βNot as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.β
βAnd the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make [it] plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.β
βFor their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.β
βYe did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?β
βI will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.β
βΒΆ For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.β
