βCasting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;β
βΒΆ Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.β
βΒΆ He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh [them] shall have mercy.β
β(For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)β
βLet us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.β

βΒΆ Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.β

βFor we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without sin.β
βNeither yield ye your members [as] instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members [as] instruments of righteousness unto God.β
βLikewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.β
βΒΆ And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.β
βLet not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.β
βFaithful [is] he that calleth you, who also will do [it].β
