βΒΆ What shall we then say to these things? If God [be] for us, who [can be] against us?β
βAnd being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.β
βAnd [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.β
βAnd he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to [the will of] God.β
βSo then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.β
βBut made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:β
βWho shall separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?β
βMoreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.β
βAs it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.β
βWho, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:β
βWherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:β
βBut ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.β
βFor we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.β
βBecause the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.β
βBut if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.β
βWho [is] he that condemneth? [It is] Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.β

βBut if we hope for that we see not, [then] do we with patience wait for [it].β
βFor if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.β
βThe Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:β
βHe that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?β
βΒΆ And if Christ [be] in you, the body [is] dead because of sin; but the Spirit [is] life because of righteousness.β
βAnd not only [they], but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, [to wit], the redemption of our body.β
βFor what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:β
βThat the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.β
βTherefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.β
βFor we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?β
