βTherefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.β
βFor the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.β
βIt shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.β
βSo shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.β
β[It is] better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.β

βMy son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:β

βFor he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and [that] spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.β
βΒΆ Thus saith the LORD; Cursed [be] the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.β
βTrust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.β
βFor the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies [are] the men of his own house.β
βI the LORD search the heart, [I] try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, [and] according to the fruit of his doings.β
βFor he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, [in] a salt land and not inhabited.β
