βWhose adorning let it not be that outward [adorning] of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;β
βFavour [is] deceitful, and beauty [is] vain: [but] a woman [that] feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.β
βΒΆ The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so [are] abomination unto the LORD thy God.β
βBut (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.β
βFor if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.β
βStrength and honour [are] her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.β
βBut every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with [her] head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.β
βSet your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.β
βThat every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;β
βFor this cause ought the woman to have power on [her] head because of the angels.β
βLet the woman learn in silence with all subjection.β

βThat no [man] go beyond and defraud his brother in [any] matter: because that the Lord [is] the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.β
