βAnd likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.β
βFor this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:β
βFor if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,β
βWhereas ye know not what [shall be] on the morrow. For what [is] your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.β
βAnd they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.β
βYe lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.β
βThere is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?β
βΒΆ From whence [come] wars and fightings among you? [come they] not hence, [even] of your lusts that war in your members?β
βYe adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.β
βYe ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume [it] upon your lusts.β
βDraw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse [your] hands, [ye] sinners; and purify [your] hearts, [ye] double minded.β
βΒΆ Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of [his] brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.β
βΒΆ For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only [use] not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.β
βBeing filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,β
βBut he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.β
βAnd even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;β
βFor the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.β

ββΉFor from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,βΊβ
βWho changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.β
βGo to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:β
βFor that ye [ought] to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.β
βWherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:β
βIf we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.β
βBackbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,β
βWho knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.β
βWithout understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:β
βΒΆ Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.β
βBut if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.β

βBut now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.β
βLet us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.β

βDo ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?β
βBe afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and [your] joy to heaviness.β
