Bible Verses for Healing & Recovery
King James Version (KJV)
Whether you are facing physical illness, emotional wounds, or spiritual brokenness, the Bible is full of hope for healing. God is described throughout Scripture as Jehovah Rapha — "the God who heals." Jesus spent much of his ministry healing the sick, the blind, and the broken.
These Bible verses for healing span both the miraculous and the gradual — the sudden restoration and the slow, painful recovery. They invite faith, persistence in prayer, and the trust that God's healing purposes are at work even when we cannot see them.
“¶ Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
“¶ Charity never faileth: but whether [there be] prophecies, they shall fail; whether [there be] tongues, they shall cease; whether [there be] knowledge, it shall vanish away.”
